Type 2 Hair

Type 4 Hair

Type 2 hair is all about body. This loose wavy texture often has more natural sheen than curlier textures, while also experiencing drier scalp and oily ends.

If you pull a stand of Type 3 hair, you’ll notice a definite S shape. Because of the texture patterns, Type 3 curls are generally full-bodied and are easier to define with the right products.

Type 4 has a Z-shaped, zig zag pattern and afro texture. Although tightly coiled, Type 4 hair is fragile due to its wiry, delicate nature and because its usually manipulated more to detangle, define and style.
